Healthcare, education and good jobs are human rights. Under capitalism, the bosses, landlords, and politicians hoard wealth, leaving the rest of us with barely enough to survive. Democratic Socialism means working people — not the rich — should be in charge of society! We are fighting to win a world organized and governed by and for the many, not the few.

What We Do

  • Grassroots Organizing: Members mobilize around pressing local and national issues, like affordable housing, workers’ rights, healthcare for all, and advancing racial equity.
  • Community Engagement: The branch holds social meetings every 3rd Sunday of the month where residents can discuss issues facing Cobb County, share resources, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Campaigns and Activism: Regular campaigns may include support for progressive candidates, union solidarity, tenants’ rights efforts, mutual aid projects, and direct action for social justice.
  • Political Education: Our branch offers educational workshops, book club meetings, and discussion series to foster understanding of democratic socialism and policy advocacy.

How to Get Involved

  • Attend a Meeting: The branch hosts meetings and regular gatherings every 3rd Sunday of the month.
  • Join Us: You can start by joining ATL DSA via ATLDSA.org/organize
  • Volunteer: DSA chapters rely on volunteers to organize and support their work—no experience required, just a commitment to social change.
  • Connect with Members: Cobb branch meetings are open to the public and serve as a great opportunity to meet fellow organizers working on issues you care about.

Getting involved is as simple as showing up to a meeting, reaching out to Cobb@atldsa.org, or joining ATL DSA today to connect with others who are making progressive change in Cobb and surrounding Counties.
