Mayor Dickens just introduced his budget proposal for FY 2027.
The Center for Civic Innovation has put up a helpful website to explain the budget and we cannot recommend it enough!
We are strongly opposed to the $16 million increase in the police budget which already makes up 32% of our General Fund. This increase takes money directly from services like Parks, City Planning, and Transportation which are seeing a 2%-5% cut.
